Welcome to Garden Island Lodge on Lady Evelyn Lake

In the heart of Ontario's vast northern wilderness is a very special lake, which we are proud to introduce to you. Lady Evelyn Lake is beautiful with pristine shoreline, towering trees, photographic outcroppings of Canadian Shield rock and big water, which is dotted with many islands. It's also famous for unusually large Trophy Walleye, aggressive Northern Pike and Feisty Smallmouth Bass. On an island in the most remote area of the lake is Garden Island Lodge.

Fishing

Lady Evelyn Lake is stuffed with hard fighting Northern Pike and acrobatic Smallmouth Bass. There are also well-cleared portages where you can easily reach lakes with Lake Trout as well as streams with Brook Trout.

Garden Island Lodge's true claim-to-fame is the unusually high population of Giant Trophy Walleye. You can catch lots of good eating size Walleyes for shore lunch or breakfast but your focus should be set on size. There is a good chance that you may catch the biggest Walleye of your life. Lady Evelyn Lake is one of the top Walleye Lakes in Canada for a mix of numbers and trophy size Walleye. No other lake in Ontario consistently produces Walleyes over 30 inches. We even had a guest catch a 36-inch Walleye that weighed an astonishing 18.5 pounds. Lady Evely Lake is a Walleye Fisherperson's dream come true.

    Garden Island Lodge is a full-service American Plan lodge featuring cozy warm cabins and fabulous home-cooked meals, which are meticulously prepared in our charming and inviting main lodge. Complete comfort and superb service from our friendly staff is the framework for a soul-soothing wilderness experience that you will never forget. Both ladies and gentleman will find themselves feeling at home in our relaxing yet exciting atmosphere. Complete comfort and fantastic fishing is the best of both worlds and is what made Garden Island Lodge one of the highest rated fishing lodges in Northern Ontario.

    There is no road access to Lady Evelyn Lake. The only way to reach our remote island is fly-in by floatplane or by boat. This remoteness is a gift, which has kept the fishing fantastic and the lake unaffected by the outside world.

    We have fantastic boats, which were specifically designed for fishing. Our 16.5-foot Lund Rebel Fishing Boats and 25-hp 4-stroke Yamaha Motors will make your fishing experience trouble-free and very enjoyable. It's rare to find a camp with boats as nice as ours.
