There are very few fishing lodges in Ontario that have boats and motors as nice and as well maintained as the fully equipped fishing boats found here at Garden Island Lodge. With a lake the size of Lady Evelyn (18,968 acres and almost 32 miles long), it's important to have the power, speed and comfort to travel longer distances in a shorter time.

Boats: Currently we have 2004 Lund Rebels. They are 16.5 foot deep-v boats. They are exceedingly comfortable with high backed swivel pedestal seats (with lumbar support) and are specifically designed for fishing. The deep-v design makes them especially stable in rough water.

These great boats feature raised flat floor, casting deck, illuminated automatic live well, storage compartments, bilge pump, landing nets, catch and release cradles, Eagle fish finder with temperature read out and running lights. The boats also have room for your shore lunch kit so it's out of the way while you are fishing.

All legally required safety equipment is with the boats, which includes anchor, life jackets, paddle, emergency sound device and safety throw rope.

Motors: Our guests will enjoy our 25 horsepower electric-start motors. All are 2005 Yamaha 4-stroke models. These motors are fast and have a top speed between 30 and 40 miles per hour depending on the load. They also troll slowly and are very quiet, which makes them perfect motors for Walleye fishing. They even run slow and smooth if you are trying to back-troll for some deep-water Walleyes.

Part of your package is unlimited gas. We do ask guests not to waste gas. Wasting gas creates unwanted pollution and gas is very expensive, especially after the time and cost of getting it to the lodge.
